Family Night Fishing

Yesterday after Robert got off of work we met him out at the site and had a fun family night of fishing. Cody absolutely loves to go fishing so he was so excited when I told him we were heading to dad's work to try to catch some big ones. I will say that I caught the most fish but since Robert and Cody caught the biggest one Cody said that the boys won the fishing contest. My favorite boys

Yesterday was Jake's first birthday. I can not believe a year has gone by already. It has been a crazy year but one of the best ever. Jake is such a fun little guy and has such a great personality. He loves his family, especially his big brother. His favorite toys are trucks, his stuffed snake and dogs and really anything in his big brothers toy box. He is a very good eater and will eat just about anything but ice cream is definatly his favorite. He always has a smile for you and is already a excellent walker. We are so glad that Jake joined our family and we love him so much, Happy Birthday Baby Jake!!

The boys were spoiled rotten as usual! Jake was so excited to get his big truck and Cody loved everything the Easter Bunny brought him.

Saturday we had a great day of Easter Egg hunts and Egg coloring! Cody was so so excited to hunt and color eggs. In the picture below Jake is enjoying chewing on a hard boiled egg, yuck! I think this is the cutiest picture, they were both so happy to see the Easter Bunny.

Happy St.Patricks Day!!

Just wanted to wish everyone a very happy St. Patty's day! We had a fun day in our 80 degree weather. We dressed in green and went to the park!

As you can see from the picture above, Jake is getting a little better at walking. He mostly still crawls but he takes about 5 steps at a time from time to time throughout the day, he is getting braver and will be off and running before we know!

Oh to be outside again

Last weekend we had really nice weather here so we tried to take advantage of it by doing things outside. Jake learned all about grass, and he hates it. It was so funny, he would just sit there with his hands up so they wouldn't touch the brownish green prickly stuff. For a boy who is constantly on the move it was strange to put him down and for him to stay there with no intentions of moving. Hopefully he will get a little more use to it as the weather warms up! He just sat for quite a while and watched Robert and Cody play baseball. Later that night we started a fire and roasted smores, we were excited to get the fire pit going again. Ahh what is this stuff, he's laughing in the pic below!
One of the highlights of the weekend for Robert and Cody was launching their Rocket that they made together. Cody had been looking forward to it for a couple of weeks and was so excited to see how high they went. He would help Robert press the launch buttons and then he would watch for it to come down so he could chase after it. We launched the two rockets that we had about half a dozen times, I was even allowed to launch a couple. We had one that almost came down on top of a cow so that was pretty funny. I took a little video of Cody explaining the launching process so enjoy........
