Last Thursday night was Madison Elementary's 1st grade musical "NUTS". Cody had the part of Acorn #2!! He worked so hard on learning his lines and he did great come performance night! All the kids did such a good job and it was a super cute play. Here are some pic's i took that night....

Just had to add a few pictures from Cody's basketball game yesterday. Cody made his and his teams first game basket!! We were so excited! His team is still struggling but yesterdays game was better. I think they were more matched in ages with the team they played. They lost and Cody's basket was the only basket made besides free throws but we were still very proud parents!

Cute brother Jakey. I think this little guy will be excited when it's his turn to play some sports, he's tired of watching from the sidelines. Soccer starts in March :)

Blue Devils 1st Game

Cody had his first basketball game of the season yesterday. While it wasn't a good game for their team, i think he had fun. The Blue Devil's never made a basket and lets just say the other team made.....a lot of them :(. He has a lot to learn but as long as he is having fun that's all that matters. Robert has a hard time watching the games but i just keep reminding him that it's most of these kids first time playing real games so the fact that they are getting it at all is pretty good. I took a few pic's, they are pretty bad, i obviously need to learn how to photograph indoor sports with my camera, i am working on it but until then these are the pictures you get...

Christmas 2011

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was a bit bitter sweet. We have really been missing all of our friends and family in Utah. We had planned to go out in November for Thanksgiving and then sickness hit our house and we didn't end up going. We are always so nervous about making that drive in the winter because of how bad the roads can get. We were especially missing everyone this Christmas and we can't wait to make a trip to Utah this summer. The boys got everything they wanted for Christmas, of course. Cody got his BBgun that ~~Robert~~ he had been wanting. He is having lots of fun with it and ALWAYS wants to go hunting with dad. Jake got lots of fun toys. He really wanted Alphie the robot from Santa and was so happy to see it Christmas morning. It's a cute learning tool that he loves to play with so we love it too. We didn't take to many pictures of ourselves on Christmas but we also enjoyed many fun and thoughtful gifts from each other and our friends and families. We enjoyed relaxing and just enjoying Robert being home with us for a while.

We went to our church's Christmas Eve service and it was great as always. Raising young kids it's sometimes hard to get through their little toy greedy heads what the true meaning of Christmas really is. We have been trying to talk about it more and more every year and a little less and less about Santa. We sponsored a child from our church's angle tree this year and that was neat. I think it made the boys think about why they have so much when other don't and that we need to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

We are a few days into the new year and we are hoping that it is a great year for our family. We really want to grow closer to Christ and learn to live like him and for him everyday, because after all that is our purpose here on earth.

We are so happy with our church family and hope to grow even closer to them in this coming year. I have a personal goal of reading the entire bible this year and i know i can do it.

I am so grateful for all the things and people God has blessed me with in my life. We hope everyone reading this had a wonderful holiday season, we are looking forward to a awesome year in 2012!

2011 Gingerbread Houses

Just wanted to share some cute pictures during our annual gingerbread house making night. We did our houses last weekend and had a blast. The boys sure are getting independent, we hardly helped them at all. Everyone's houses turned out great and i know we all had fun making them!

Last Thursday night Jake's preschool put on a special Christmas program. It was quite the event. It was a packed house and all the kiddo's really did a great job. We may have promised Jake ice cream if we saw him singing. We saw his mouth move maybe once or twice but honestly that was more than i thought we would see. He mostly just sat there kicked back in his chair and swung his legs up and down. He didn't seem nervous at all, just smiled or looked bored most of the time. It was fun to see him in that element and we did end up going for ice cream after it was over. He's our special little guy and we were very proud of him.

Thanksgiving and Santa Visit 2011

Despite the fact that we were not able to make the trip to Utah for Thanksgiving we still had a nice Thanksgiving break. We were sad that the trip to Utah didn't happen but with all the sickness that was floating around in our house we thought it would be better to stay home this year. We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner and a great holiday weekend getting our home ready for Christmas.

We even made time to go see Santa before the holiday rush hit. We love seeing Santa at Bass Pro, they have such a fun area for the kids and lots of fun things to see. After the boys saw Santa we asked Jake if he told Santa what he wanted for Christmas. He replied with a very confused look on his face "Yes I did, but he did not give me my presents!?" I guess he is into instant gratification. We may need to explain the whole wait until Christmas morning thing to him again."

Well we can't believe that Cody is 7 years old. He's growing up way to fast for our liking but i guess there's not a whole lot we can do about it. Cody had a great birthday this year and got a lot of very fun presents.

He got a skateboard with the gift card from Aunt Becky and Richard, they went to the store on Sunday morning before him and Robert were going to go quail hunting because he said he wanted to get a bb gun with the gift card.....Robert was very sad that the skateboard won out instead. He says he is asking Santa for a bb gun now for Christmas so we'll see. I have a feeling he will get one even if he doesn't.

On Monday, his actual birthday me, Jake and Aunt Dayna brought him a Burger King lunch. It was fun to eat lunch with him as always.

Monday night we went out to eat at Red Robin, it was very yummy. After we got home he opened up presents from us and Grandma and Papa Davis

He LOVES his new scooter from Grandma and Papa Davis, he had to take it for a spin before bed.

All in all it was a great birthday weekend for a special birthday boy. He is a great kid and we are very proud of him and how well he does in school and everything else. We love you very much Cody Earl Davis!

The excitement is building at our house. The boys can hardly wait. Halloween just can't come soon enough. We have two very cool pirates at our house and they can't wait to hit the neighborhood for as much candy as they can carry. On Thursday Jake's preschool had their class party. The kids had lots of fun and I was glad that i was able to join in on the fun. They tick or treated around the gym and then had special Halloween treats in their room.

KC Pumpkin Patch 2011

Today was Jake's class field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. I got to go with him and despite the freezing temps we had a great time. He got to pick his very own pumpkin. He was so excited about it and had been talking about it all week. He picked a very cool pumpkin with a crazy stem, a pumpkin to fit his crazy little personality. Nascar Fun!

We had another fun weekend last weekend. Well mostly Robert and Cody but me and Jake got to hear all about it. On Saturday we went and saw the Nascar driver Jamie McMurray and his race car at Bass Pro. He was very nice, Cody asked him if he was going to win on Sunday and he said that he was going to try.

On Sunday Robert and Cody spent all day at the track. They had tickets to go early and get to walk on the track and get a up close look at the cars. Cody thought that was pretty cool. They said the race was good and they liked their seats because they were up a little higher up in the real seats instead of on the bleachers. They said they could see the race better in those seats. Even though i think they spent a lot of time walking around to all the gift shop trailers ;) They had fun and hopefully Cody will remember this day when he gets older. He sure is lucky to have the opportunity to do all the fun stuff he does with Robert.

Cody had his first flag football game yesterday. His team is Nebraska. Go Huskers!

They won 36-18. Cody had a lot of fun. He still has a lot to learn but for the first game he did great. He may have not got his hands on the ball that much but at least he looked the part. Here's to hoping for a great season, with good friends and a lot of fun......

Frogs, Fun and Fresh Air

As summer has come to an end we have been trying to spend as much time as we can outside before the weather gets too cold and keeps us inside. Last weekend we took a drive to Robert's work just to get out and get some fresh air. The boys had fun frog hunting and i had fun taking pictures of our outing.

I feel like the boys are growing up so fast and even though they get tired of me pointing the camera at them i am going to continue to do it. Someday soon we will look back on all our fun family outings and wish the boys were little again.

Yesterday Robert and Cody went dove hunting. They had a great time and came home with 8 doves. I asked Cody if he had fun and his response was "Yeah, who wouldn't?" Cody had his first Soccer game today. His team this year is the Dragon's. He did great. His team won 3-2 and he scored 2 goals. He really enjoys soccer and is the tallest kid on his team so him and his long little legs really can run fast. We love watching him and we are glad he has fun with it.

First day of School 2011

We had a big day here at our house. Today was the first day of school for both Cody and Jake. Cody started 1st grade and Jake started his first year of Preschool. I got up at a unheard of hour for me but it was nice to wake both the boys up. Cody never gets woken up, even on the weekend he lets Robert sleep in for a bit before he wakes him up so i scared him to death when i woke him up this morning, he about jumped to the ceiling, it was so funny.

Both of the boys had great first days at school. Jake had no problem saying good-bye to us, he grabbed a toy and started playing, i was a little worried about him but it was definitely harder on me than him.

We are sad to see the fun, lazy days of summer go but we are excited to start this new school year, make new friends and learn lots of new stuff.

Jake is going to a church run preschool that we have heard nothing but wonderful things about so we are hoping it turns out to be a great school for Jakey.

JOCO Fair Pedal Pull 2011

We had a fun week last week while the Johnson County fair was in town. We missed it last year so we made sure to go this year. On Tuesday we entered the boys into the pedal pull competition. They loved it and we had fun watching them try to pedal their little hearts out. The pedal tractors that they use have a weight on the back that gets heavier and heavier the further you pedal it. The boys did great, neither won the big prizes but they all got ribbons and that was cool enough to them. They were there with their best buds from up the street so that made it even funner!

I love these next two pictures, these two were talking about very important pre pull strategies i am just sure of it, LOL. They are so cute together.

Cody did great too, i think it was a little harder than he thought it was going to be.

A couple nights later we took the boys back to the fair to ride some rides and eat some fair food. They loved the rides as always and we had our first taste of funnel cake, pretty good but nothing i would crave on a daily basis. We also tried the deep fried oreo's and they were yummy, we all liked them.

I was a very proud mom and wife this last weekend. On Saturday Cody decided to spend his whole life savings($80)on a new bike. He had been wanting a new bike for a while now and we were proud that it was important enough to him to spend all his money on it. He was so excited and really likes it, he enjoys riding it every day now.

And on Sunday morning Robert got Baptized and publicly accepted God into his life. It has been so neat watching him become a man of God. It is so important that our family is finally on the same page when it comes to our religion, it has been a long time coming and i am so happy with his decision to be baptized. Our faith as a family has grown so much over the last 2 and a half years and I am grateful that we are now active members of this wonderful church family. It is so important to be fully committed to Jesus and to really live for him in every way, we are still growing in a lot of ways but i know that we are on the right path.

Deanna Rose July 2011

Yesterday we met our friends at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. It's a fun interactive farmstead where there is a lot of fun things to do. Jake took his first pony ride there yesterday, he was so excited. He has a new found love of horses after the Dixie Stampede we went to in Branson so I knew he would love getting to ride a pony. Here are some pictures from our afternoon at the farm....

Branson trip 2011

Last week we took our first official family vacation. We went to Branson, MO. My parents were kind enough to let us take advantage of their time share, and one of the locations was Branson so we thought it sounded perfect.

There were so many fun things to do in Branson as a family. We started off the trip with a ride on the famous Duck Boats. It's a land/water vehicle that takes you out on Lake Taneycomo. It was very fun, the boys had a blast, Jake had fun the rest of the time in Branson spotting duck boats all over town.

One of the fun things on the duck boat is the opportunity the passengers get to drive the boat. Our whole family got to drive the boat, there isn't a picture of me because while the captain was trying to take my picture i was turning the wheel a little too hard so he didn't get a good picture because he was more worried about his boat, woops.

Next up that day was Silver Dollar City. It is a amusement park set in the old west. It was really fun, it was really hot that day but we still had fun. The lines were not too bad and the boys had fun on the rides.

The next day we went Go-Carting. This was something that Cody especially was really looking forward to. Me and Jake were riding buddies and Robert and Cody, of course because they were sure to go faster. They did go faster than us but not by much. It was fun and if you can tell by the look on Jake's face he was super excited to be "driving" the go-cart.

After we got done on the big track Cody got to drive by himself on the rookie track, he said that was his favorite part of the whole vacation.

After go-carting we went and did a little shopping. While shopping we came upon a little water fountain show with Lake Taneycomo in the background.

My families Harley shop.... he, he, just kidding but I was pretty excited about it, even spelled right, that's pretty rare.

That evening we went to the Dixie Stampede Dinner Show. It was a blast. I would give it 4 stars and highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area. It started with a pre show of a juggling father and son, Jake was in awe of them, he didn't move the whole time. They were great. Then we went into the arena and were seated. The show was fabulous and the animals were beautiful. Jake loved the horsies and yelled for them to come back every time they left. The meal was great too, i got Jake to eat a lot because he was so into the show and i just kept putting food in his mouth. It was mu favorite part of the vacation because i could see how much everyone was enjoying themselves.

On Saturday we went to the Dinosaur museum, it was pretty cheesy and no where close to as good as other one's we have been to in the past but that's OK. Below is a picture of Robert and Jake with the Utahraptor.

We went to the fish hatchery on Saturday too and Table Rock Dam was right near there. And you all should know of Robert's love for a good Dam so we had to get some pictures...

Here is a pic of Cody at the Hatchery. It was very interesting to see how they raise the rainbow and brown trout. There were so many fish there and the boys had fun feeding them.

Saturday we also went on a tour through the Titanic museum. I was very interesting. It may have been more fun without the boys, they didn't love it so much but they hung in there with us.

All vacation we had a lot of pool time. We tried to go everyday. Cody has turned into quite the little fish lately. He loves to be in the water and has really come a long way in getting over his fear of going under the water. We are very proud of him and the progress he has made this summer. Sunday came too fast and it was time for us to head home. We did have a couple of fun stops along the way though. First we stopped at Bass Pro Shops headquarters in Springfield, MO. It was huge. There was so much to look at there, we didn't spend as much time there as we could have, we will have to go back and explore more.

Our final stop on our trip was at Fantastic Caverns. It was really neat. It's a series of caves that you drive through in a jeep that pulls a tram. I think caves are so cool and the boys seemed have a good time too. It gave Robert a few flashbacks from his days underground but he liked it too.

We had a very fun trip and made lots of memories that we will never forget.

4th of July 2011

We had a really fun 4th of July again this year. We went swimming during the day and had friends over for a BBQ that evening. At the end of the night we had a big crowd of neighbors and friends on our lawn to watch the fireworks show we put on and the one the city put on. We have a great view of the city fireworks from our front lawn and are always grateful that we don't have to fight the traffic on the 4th of July.

We are so lucky to have our freedom and are able to worship God publicly. We are thankful for all those who make our freedom possible and we are in deed proud to be Americans!

End Of Season Blues

Our season as the Pirates has come to a end. While I am dealing with the new found freedom quite well Robert is a bit more sentimental about it ending. He really had fun with the boys and hopefully taught them a lot. He is a bit at a lose as to what to do with himself now that the season is over. They were a crazy bunch and some practices seemed more mentally exhausting then fun but all in all it was a great season. A lot of the boys improved by leaps and bounds and we have high hopes for next year.

Our last practice we had our annual water balloon practice, it was even better than last year, the boys had a blast and we had a blast watching them. Here's a pic of Cody batting and making a good splash.

I need to play catch up for a minute here. We have been having such a fun summer that i have neglected the blog a bit.

In May I took Jake's 3yr pictures. He is such a sweet spirit in our home and we are thankful for him every day...or almost every day, he he. I want to talk just a little bit more about Jake. I know that i wrote about him on his birthday post but i wanted to give you a run down of a few things we love about our Jakey...

10. I secretly love that when i come in to get him in the morning he is dressed,even if it's in a sweat shirt when it's 100 degrees out, blinds wide open and a smile on his face.

9. I LOVE that he prefers to order broccoli over fries as his side dish at a restaurant.

8. We love the comic relief he brings to every day life, he is a seriously funny kid.

7. We love his independence. He loves to play outside and he could literally spend hours in his sandbox.

6. I love watching him grow and learn. He is really a problem solver and is very proud of himself when he figures it out on his own.

5. We love how he talks. He started talking a little late but he talks almost nonstop now, there are a lot of words i should correct him on but I'm letting him be my baby just a little bit longer.

4. We love that he potty trained himself at 2yrs old. I bless him every day for that.

3. We love that he has no fear, that one is sometimes very frightening but i think it is a good trait and he will try a lot of things that most kids his age would be too scared to do.

2. We love his ability to go, go, go. He really has endless energy. He very rarely gets too cranky to deal with. He goes with the punches and is very laid back.

1. Most of all we just love that Jake is Jake. He is such a fun kid to be around and we love him very much!

Cody's Kindergarten Graduation

On Monday Cody graduated from Kindergarten. Sniff, sniff. My little guy is growing up so fast. I can't believe that he will be in 1st grade soon. His graduation was so cute and we were so glad that his Grandma and Papa Davis were able to come to it. He had such a wonderful kindergarten year and had the best teacher ever. He made lots of new friends and learned so much this year. He is reading better and better every day and has a love of math that i am grateful for and hope continues. Pirates first game

This week Cody had his first coach pitch baseball game. It was interesting to say the least. Robert is the coach again this year and it has been trying to say the least. The kids are still just young and far from being focused. He is trying so hard to teach these kids but it's just not going to happen until they learn to focus a little more. The first game was rough. Robert took it much harder then the kids. I think everyone had fun and had no clue that they lost 21-2, which is good i guess. I think they will slowly start picking it up throughout the season but it's going to be a growing year for sure. Cody was very excited for his first game and he made the teams only run of the whole game. He was very excited when we were all cheering for him.

Jake's 3rd birthday Party

Over the weekend we threw Jake a 3rd Birthday bash. He has a couple little friends in the neighborhood and we just thought it would be fun to have our friends and neighbors over for a bar-b-q. Jake loved his party theme, John Deere of course. I had fun planning the party and the food. I made his cake again this year and it was my first time using fondant, i made my own marshmallow fondant and it actually turned out pretty well for my first time. Anyway he liked it, mostly for the tractor on the top but that's OK.

We had a fun afternoon with everyone that came. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and neighbors here in Kansas. It makes being so far away from our families a little easier.

Today is my baby's 3rd birthday. I won't lie...i am sad. I don't want him to grow even one day older....but i don't think i have a choice. He is such a bright and sweet little guy. He makes us laugh everyday without even trying. He loves his big brother so much even when that love isn't always reciprocated. He is always willing to help and he always, always wears a smile. We love him so much and our family would have never been complete without him.

Aunt Dayna visit and Easter Egg Hunt!!

We had a very fun and very busy weekend last weekend. My sister Dayna came from Utah to visit us. We did lots of fun stuff and she wore us out with fun. Me and her went to the movie twice, we did lots of shopping, had lots of pre-Easter fun and had a birthday campfire celebration. It was a great weekend and we miss her already.

Our town always has a Egg hunt the weekend before Easter so we made sure to get to it again this year. There were not too many people there this year so the boys got lots and lots of eggs.

Saturday was Dayna's birthday, we were so glad that she could spend it with us this year. We had our first backyard fire of the season and made a special birthday smore in honor of the birthday gal.

New Entertainment....

Last weekend Robert put together the swing set that us and Robert's parents got for Jake for his birthday. It was quite a job. It took him all weekend but he got the job done and the boys couldn't be happier. They are out there every morning after breakfast and again after Cody gets home from school. The weather has been so nice here the last week or so and it's given me a glimpse of summer and i can't wait. They boys outside = a cleaner house inside so whats not to like about that.

CoCo Key Water Park

Over Spring break we had planned a fun trip to a small town here in Kansas to go to a Wildlife type Zoo. Well the weather didn't cooperate and we ended up canceling our hotel and staying home. I didn't want the whole weekend to be a bust so we took the kids to a indoor water park in Kansas City. So not a really exciting trip, no we didn't go to Disneyland like we heard people thought, we just went to a water park for the afternoon and it was about all the fun me and Robert could handle ;)

Cody is getting quite adventurous and went on all the slide with me, i was a pretty proud mama. I only have one picture of Cody in the bunch of pic's below because he was in super speed mode and did not have time for pictures. Jake had a fun time too, he loves the little slides and i even took him down a little bit bigger one until we got in trouble because he wasn't tall enough, lol. It was a fun day and we were all super tired that night.

St. Patricks Day Fun

This year me and the boys decided it would be fun to make a Leprechaun trap to see if we could catch the silly little Leprechaun that comes every year to leave us treats. Cody was very hopeful that we would trap him and we could keep him as a pet. We tried our best to bait him in with lucky charms, rainbows, fake gold and shamrocks.

This morning we found all the Lucky Charms eaten, and no Leprechaun, oh man or dang it as Jake would say. We didn't catch that sneaky Leprechaun but he did leave us a shamrock treasure hunt to go on....

The treasure hunt was fun and he left the boys some bags of gold treats!

While Jake was napping i had a graphing activity for Cody. He graphed the rainbow of colors in a package of Skittles!

After dinner we had our small group meeting at our church and i made this fun fruit rainbow to take as a treat. It was a big hit!

We had a fun St. Patty's day this year and we are looking forward to a beautiful weekend and a fun trip.....I'm sure you'll hear about that soon;)

Monster Jam 2011

Yesterday we took the boys to Monster Jam. The boys, especially Cody had been waiting and waiting for this day to come for a while. Him and Jake got the tickets for Christmas and were so excited. We got Pit Passes that enabled us to go down and get a close up look at the trucks before the show. The boys even got a few autographs. It was a fun show. Cody was VERY into it and Jake's favorite part was the 4-wheelers and motorcycle's, he waved at every one of them. Cody was excited to see Grave Digger and found a new truck that he liked named Reptoid. Jake's favorite truck was Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtle, which he affectionately called "baby turtle." We ended up having front row seats, i did not know this at the time i ordered them but Cody was one happy boy when we realized where we were sitting!

Jake's Big Boy Bed

Yesterday Jake finally got his big boy bed. We had told him that if he got potty trained he would get a new big boy bed and yesterday we paid up. I won't lie, i was very sad to see the crib go. So sad that my babies are growing up. I would have kept Jake in his crib until he was 10 if it were up to me. Unfortunately it was time for the crib to go, although i did threaten to put it back up several times last night, oh and once at 5am this morning.

His first night in his bed went about how we expected it to. He bounced around and was in and out of bed for about a hour and a half before he finally fell asleep.

What i wasn't expecting was a wake up call at 4:30am. He started bouncing around and i quickly let him know that was not a suitable time for waking up in this house. He did fall back asleep pretty quickly and slept until a little after 9, yes, that is in deed a suitable time.

Here are a few pic's of the new bed. We still need to get a bed skirt and Grandma Judy is making a custom Tractor bed spread so this sports one is just temporary. He still loved it and felt like such a big boy.

SNOW DAY!!

We woke up to some fluffy white stuff falling from the sky this morning! So exciting, I was starting to wonder if it was going to snow at all this winter. This is our first real snow here in our town and the schools declared a snow day, Cody was ecstatic! Jake was much more into playing in the snow than he was last year, we all had a blast and now we are planning on staying in the rest of the day and watching it snow,it is forecasted to snow all day long:)

Union Station - December 2010

We took a fun little trip into Kansas City today. We went to Union Station to see the Big Bird/Elmo planetarium show. Jake liked it so much that he actually cried when it ended, i think he wanted to watch it all day! It was cute and i am glad that we took him. We walked around Union Station after the show and saw the train exhibit which the boys always love. They still had all their Christmas decor up so we got to see some of that which was fun. I am loving all this time that Robert has to spend with me and the boys. We are having a great Christmas break with him home and i am not looking forward to him going back to work.

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas again this year. We started off the weekend on Friday night by sprinkling reindeer food on the lawn so that Santa was sure to find our house. Then we went inside and made, in my humble opinion, the best gingerbread houses ever! OK probably not but we sure had fun making them. Jake did a lot better than i thought he would, i expected his house to be smashed or destroyed in a matter of minutes, because well it's Jake, but he had a blast putting the candies on. He probably ate as much as he used on his house but that was OK. Cody did a great job too, he wanted everything to look just perfect. We found a new method to stick the gram crackers together, just melt 1/2 c. sugar on stove and use that to stick the house together with, it's like glue it worked so good. The boys also opened their p.j.'s from Grandma and Papa Davis and loved them, although Cody still doesn't understand why he can't choose which present to open on Christmas eve, he'll get it sooner or later. Christmas morning!! I know Cody had a hard time sleeping, he woke us up at about 5am to tell us he was hungry. We held him off a couple more hours and then woke Jake up. They had lots of fun seeing their Santa gifts and opening all their presents. Every time Jake opened a present wrapped in a box he would yell "It's a box!" It was pretty funny. They loved all their presents and opened them so fast that i have no idea who gave them what but i can tell you that they loved them all. Cody was excited that Santa brought him what he asked for, i think he was really worried that it could go either way for him. Jake got a new bike and is excited to get outside and ride it hopefully today. We were able to attend our church service on Christmas evening and i am glad that we did. We needed to remind ourselves that Christmas is so much more than Santa and gifts. We are very grateful that God sent his son to live and die for us, we need to remember that we matter, we have a purpose in this life and we are all special to our heavenly father. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and remember to keep Christ in your heart all through the year.

Last weekend we took our annual trip to Bass Pro to see Santa. Bass Pro has such a fun set-up for the kids. It's a actual winter wonderland with lots of games to play and fun things to make. The boys both colored a ornament for their trees and played all the games. We were very proud of Jake this year because he was ready and willing to sit on Santa's lap. He even told him exactly what he wanted. Cody told Santa too, not sure Santa knew what he was talking about but he was told none the less.

Utah Thanksgiving trip 2010

I have been meaning to post these pictures of our Utah Thanksgiving trip for a while. We had a great time in Utah visiting our families and friends. It's always hard to fit everything into the short amount of time that we are there and we never do but it's always nice to see everyone.

I just want to wish our little Cody a very happy 6th birthday. I can't believe how old he is getting. He gets more grown up every day and i really don't like it. Robert is gone pheasant hunting this weekend so today me and Cody had a mother/son day. He talked me into playing Wii Lego Indiana Jones with him, which he said i was very good at by the way. I also took him to the movie this evening and we had fun there. He is such a smart little guy, sometimes too smart. He impresses me everyday with the things that come out of his mouth. He is my special little guy and he always will be. I sat at the movie tonight and enjoyed holding his little hand because i knew that it won't be long before he won't want me to do that anymore, sniff, sniff. He's so special to me and that's where i will stop because i really don't want to cry right now.

Cody's 6th birthday bowling party

Today we had Cody's 6th birthday party with his friends. He chose to go bowling this year and him and all his friends had a blast! It was cosmic bowling so they turned the lights down and the music video's on and everything was glowing. I bought them all glow in the dark necklaces so they could all "glow." Cody got one strike and one spare. Jake was so funny, he wouldn't let us help him and surprisingly he didn't do too bad. We all got a good laugh at how slow some of those balls were going down the lane.

Halloween 2010

We had a great Halloween weekend. We started out on Friday evening by carving our pumpkins. Cody picked a storm trooper design, Jake wanted "Mouse" as in Mickey Mouse, I made a Minnie so his Mickey wouldn't be lonely, and Robert made grim reaper pumpkin. Jake wanted to do it all, he just kept saying, "I wanna do it, i wanna do it." Cody was better about gutting the pumpkins, still isn't his favorite thing to do but he did it. I think our pumpkins turned out great.

On Saturday night after church we went with our church to a bonfire and hay ride. It was fun and Cody really liked the corn kernel cobber thing, he says he wants one for Christmas, oh silly boy, i guess he would have made a good little pioneer boy.

Sunday was all about the treats. We enjoyed a lazy Sunday afternoon and geared up for the evening ahead. The kids had a blast trick-or-treating as usual. It was a bit chilly out and the wind didn't help but we didn't let that stop us. Batman had a hard time waiting for Robin to get to the doors with him but we got several comments on how cute their costumes were.

Taekwondo Cody

Soccer is over and Cody decided it was time to move on to something new. On Monday he took his first Taekwondo class. He went to three classes this week and really seems to be liking it. His instructor, Master Steve, is tough but i think it will be good for Cody. We are hoping he learns respect, discipline, and confidence. He has already learned a lot in just one week. He studied all week to learn a page full of various questions, and today he got his yellow stripe of knowledge. He was so excited and we were very proud of him.

Here are a couple pictures of him in his new uniform, he looks pretty serious huh, i wouldn't want to mess with him! Oh and don't mind his hair, it just happened to be crazy hair day at school that day.

At his first class Master Steve wrote his name on his uniform in Korean. Cody thought that Master Steve said "Cody, i am going to write your name on your uniform in crayon." He thought that was weird until i corrected him on what really happened:)

Monkeys last game - fall 2010

Last Saturday was Cody's last soccer game. He was so lucky to get on such a great team for his first soccer season. We just happen to be put on a team that was made up of a lot of kids from our church, so it was a great experience. He loved his Coach A.J. and got to be good friends with all of his team mates. Now i know that they don't officially keep score at the games when the kids are this age but well, we did. The Monkeys never lost a game and did such a great job. They got better every week and it was always fun watching their games. I know Cody had a fun time but he says he is really looking forward to baseball, which makes dad happy:)

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We had a fun day yesterday at our local pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day, actually hot, we were roasting while playing around outside. There is so much to do at the pumpkin patch we went to and i think we did it all. Cody had already been there this year with his school class so he showed us around a bit. Jake's favorite thing by far was the corn box with tractors, he could have played there all day. Here are a few pictures from our fun fall day.....

Worlds Of Fun

I am a little late in posting this but last weekend we went to Worlds of Fun. It's a amusement park in Kansas City. It was our first time there and we had a lot of fun. We spent most of the time in Camp Snoopy with the kids. We went with a family friend and his son. Cody liked having a buddy to ride the rides with. Jake was fun to watch on the rides, he loved them and rode anything he was tall enough to ride.

We had a great time, just wish it wouldn't have been so cold. It was unbelievably cold especially when the sun went down. After dark there was a monster parade that Cody and Jake didn't care for too much so we left soon after that. While it was no Disney World it was fun and i know the boys enjoyed it.

Fan Appreciation Night at the K 2010

Friday night we got to go to Fan Appreciation Night at Kauffman Stadium. We were so excited to be able to go for the second year in a row. It's a fun night at the Ballpark. This year we got to do a few things that we missed last year. We got to go in the Bullpen, the locker rooms, training rooms, the dugout, and walk on the field. It was neat to get such an up close look at the ballpark.

We got free food, free carousel rides, free games, and we love free so it was a great night.

Labor Day Weekend 2010

We had a fun Labor day weekend. We surprised the boys with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge on Friday after school. We have always wanted to go there and finally did it. I think Cody just thought we were going in to look around so when he realized we were staying the night he was really excited.

Jake was so so excited to sleep in a big boy bed. He kept all of us up until about 11:30 because he wouldn't stop giggling and goofing around in his bed. Silly boy.

At 8:00pm every night they have a story time in the Lobby. The big clock tower and animated animals tell a story and sing a little song. Then some belly dancers (male and female) came out and preformed......it was interesting to say the least. Cody asked if we could leave and if they hadn't been blocking the stair way we would have. We all got a good laugh out of it though. Sorry no pictures of that show, but trust me you wouldn't want to see them.

Saturday morning we went to their indoor water park. It was a blast. It is one of the best water parks for kids that i have ever seen. All of the slides just end in a trough of water, not a big pool, so it's great for non-swimmers or smaller kids. I was so proud of Cody, he went on every slide that he was tall enough to ride. He was very brave and loved every one of them. The picture below is of the big green bucket. It dumps water every 5 minutes. So if you don't want to get dumped on you better move when you hear the bell.

This is the red kiddie slide that we are pretty sure Jake set a record on. He went down this slide over and over and over and over, and so on......he loved it!!

After the water park we went and played 18 holes on their mini golf course. It was really fun, Cody claims he won and Jake did great for a 2yr old.

On Sunday i convinced Robert to come to the Gym with me and my friend Jaci. We had told him about the rock wall that we had been climbing and he assured us that he would climb circles around us. It was really fun and i actually made it to the top two times ( i hadn't gone more than half way before). Robert realized that it was a bit harder than he thought but he still did great. He got to the top several times and once on the hard part of the wall.

On Monday we had big plans to go fishing but it was way too windy all day. We settled for having a picnic in the living room and just relaxing most of the day. We are trying to enjoy the warm weather while it lasts. I am dreading the winter when the boys, especially Jake can't go outside, they are definitely outdoor boys.

Cody's First Soccer Game 2010

This morning was Cody's first Soccer game. It was a great game. His team is the Monkey's and they played great. They won 14-3. Cody scored 4 goals by himself. His team played really good together and left little chance for the other team to score. He had a lot of fun and you could see the pride on his face when he scored his goals, not to mention that he was jumping up and down yelling "oh yeah" with a few fist pumps in the mix.We are looking forward to the rest of the season and all the goals that Cody still has left to score!

Our weekend at Kauffman Stadium

We had a great weekend again! We spent most of it at Kauffman Stadium watching the Royals play the Yankees. I had a hard time figuring out who to cheer for so i just cheered for both teams. Robert cheered for the Yankees of course. The Yankees won on Saturday night and the Royals won on Sunday afternoon. The Saturday game was a much better game and had lots of perks for us and the boys. We were given the Sat. tickets by one of Robert's employee's. It came with great seats, free parking and access to the Stadium Club restaurant. The restaurant was great, we were right on the front row and could see the field great while we ate our lunch. It was so nice and cool inside, it was quite a treat!

Here are the seats we started in, they were a really great view of the field and the seats were padded, bonus! We only sat here for about 45 minutes until the restaurant called to tell us our table was ready......

On Sunday me and Robert went to the game alone. The boys were excited to have a sitter and i think Robert was excited to get to watch a bit more of the game than he did the night before. Sunday's game was a pretty toasty one, we were in full sun the whole time and didn't have the luxury of going to the Stadium Club. It was a pretty slow game action wise, but it was over in just a little over 2 hrs, it was a quick one. The Yankees lost but it was still a nice day at the ballpark!

When we came home we finally went and bought the fire pit table that we had been eying for a while. We had a nice little Smore bed time snack with the boys.

It was another great weekend, we love hanging out at the ballpark and so do the boys. We hope we are making memories that the boys will remember for a lifetime.

First Day Of Kindergarten

Today was Cody's first day of Kindergarten. He asked all morning, "Is it time to go yet, is it time to go yet?" He was just a little excited! Taking his first day of school pictures on the porch i just kept thinking how big he looked. He is growing up so fast and if i could push a button to slow time down i would.

Jake just about started crying when he realized that Cody did not return to the car with us. He was very concerned with where Cody went and why he was not coming home with us. He loves his big brother so much.

After school he was so excited to eat the "Back To School Brownies" that Grandma Judy sent. He loved them and might have ate them all if i had let him. He said that his first day was good and that he made a couple of new friends. He also said that his class was weird because there were no teacher helpers and they didn't have a snack, it's funny what kids notice. I hope he has a great rest of the school year and learns a lot!

Utah Trip - July-Aug 2010

Well i guess it's about time that i post about me and the boys trip to Utah. We got home last week and while we were glad to see Robert again, we had so much fun in Utah and could have used a few more days there. We are so grateful that Aunt Dayna footed the bill to bring me and the boys to Utah for a visit. While we do consider Kansas our home now we still miss Utah and most of all the people there, oh and Cafe Rio.

We started of by spending a evening at Pirate's Island in Orem, it was a really fun place with great food and the boys loved every minute of it!

We also made a trip to The Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. We hadn't been there for a while so it was fun and had more things since we went last. They had a neat new Sea Turtle and some penguins. And as you can see below, Jake liked the big frog.

Yes i make my kids get in strange props and take pictures of them, that's just how i am. It is cute though, right?!

We also got to visit with the Farrells! It was so fun to catch up with them and see how much their girls have grown. I can't believe how old our kids are getting. Now if we can just keep them convinced that they have prearranged marriages with each other that would be great!! I love that i got a picture of them where they are all smiling, what a bunch of cuties!

Cody and Jake ventured off from their Mama this trip. Their Grandma and Papa Davis came and took them for a couple of days and i hear they had a blast. Here are a few pictures that i got in the mail last week that prove fun was indeed had!!

While they were in Price they got to try their hand at firefighting! I wish i could have been there for this, i know the boys loved it. Jake is obsessed with any type of big truck so he had to be in heaven and Cody talked about it for days.

While the boys were in Price i had a chance to relax and rejuvenate. It was a nice little break for me and i had a nice time spending time with family and friends. When the boys came back we took a trip to Hogle Zoo. I really like the Hogle Zoo so i was glad we got a chance to take the boys. I love Jake's face in this next picture, he's such a goofball.

They had a new little elephant at the Zoo that was so cute, it was pretty hungry when we went and wouldn't turn around for a good picture but that's OK it was just super cute to watch.

Another great weekend of fishing for the Davis boys! Yesterday we went back to our new favorite spot and had a great time once again. The fishing was HOT! All Robert did for two hours was bait and help cast the boys poles. Cody was a fishing mad man, he even baited his own hook a few times when he didn't want to wait for Robert's help. At one time he had one on his pole and he handed it to Robert to unhook and then caught one on Jake's pole two seconds later. The boys had a blast and i had a blast capturing it all on film. Jake is such a content little boy and acts so old for his age. He might not say much but he knows what he's doing and if he doesn't he watches big brother and does whatever he does. I love having two boys and i hope they turn out to be the best friends ever!

Topeka Zoo and Giant Mushroom

This weekend we took a trip to the Topeka, KS Zoo. It was a cute little zoo but it was a VERY HOT day. We strolled quickly from shade to shade to see the animals. Most of the animals were pretty pooped out from the heat as well so they were not very active. We decided that we will go back in the fall to give the zoo a more fair review, because if you ask me how the Topeka Zoo is, my only answer will be, "HOT!!" We were dripping in sweat, but still had a good amount of fun, i know the kids did anyway.

There was a fun little park across the street from the zoo. It had a mini-train that took you on a mile ride around the park, the boys had fun on that.

These next pictures we probably shouldn't be proud of, but for some strange reason we are. Look at this huge mushroom we had growing in the backyard. I could not believe my eyes and had to take a few pic's of it. Yeah it had been a while since we Robert had mowed the lawn.

Sun, Sand and Fishing!

We had another great weekend last weekend. We went back to the lake to play in the sand again, it was quite a bit less muddy this time so that was nice. The boys have so much fun playing in the sand and water. I am trying my best to turn Robert into a beach bum and i know he is enjoying it more than he lets on.

Here are just a few of the pictures i took, i have been working on expanding my photography and photo shop knowledge so i take pictures like crazy lately, i know you grandparents don't mind......

On Sunday we decided to check out a fishing pond outside of Robert's work. We went to the Douglas County fishing lake. It was a great little lake that i know we will be back to. It was full of blue gill and Robert caught a little bass before we left. This was Jake's first real fishing trip that he had with his own fishing pole. He picked out a Mickey Mouse fishing pole at Bass Pro and we were excited to get him fishing with it.

While Robert was getting Cody's pole all ready to go Jake tried out his new pole....

First he had to show it to "blankie"....

Then for one reason or another he decided it would make a good horse....I love this picture, it's just so Jake!

And then when it was finally time to get his baited.....it was broken, nothing too serious but not fixable at the lake. So he shared big brothers for the day.....

Cody is quite the little fisherman. He just kept reeling them in....

He even let Jake hold his catch to see what a real fish on the end of your line feels like...

While Jake didn't catch his first fish that day, he had lots of fun trying and I'm sure he'll catch that first one on the next trip, on his very own pole.

It was a great day fishing, the boys caught a bunch of fish and Cody got smacked in the face while trying to kiss a fish, sorry i can't tell the story good in written form, just ask us to tell you the story the next time you talk to us, trust me it was hilarious, i was in tears! We love making memories with the boys and we are having a summer full of them, i hope they enjoy it as much as we do, we love them so much and love being together as a family.

4th of July weekend 2010

Despite the rainy weather this weekend we managed to have a great 4th of July. We started the weekend off on Friday by riding a camel, yeah a little strange i know but Robert found a fireworks stand that was offering free camel rides. I guess they know what they are doing because they reeled us in with the camel ride and we left with a bag full of fireworks too!

The day of the 4th started off with great weather but ended in a rain storm. We tried to make the best of it and Robert lit fireworks off for as long as he could, we all huddled in the garage and watched him in his rain poncho lighting fireworks.

The champagne poppers were a huge hit with the kids, we'll have to buy a bunch of those again next year! Even Jake got to do one.

Then the rain came rolling in.....but that didn't stop the fun.

Robert was the seat of choice for the littler kids.

Today we headed to the Hillsdale Lake. We had never been there before so we thought we would go exploring a bit. We ended up having a blast. The boys loved playing at the beach and in the sand. Jake was a little unsure at first but warmed up rather quickly. We were sorry we didn't bring our swimsuits.We will be back to the Lake soon i am sure!

End Of Season Blues

Sadly the T-Ball season has come to an end. Monday night was the Yankees last game and boy oh boy was it a great one. Those boys played so good, tagging people out right and left. They are finally getting the hang of the game right as the season ends. We have had so much fun with the boys on the team this season and are really proud of the progress they all made. We are kind of at a loss as to what to do with ourselves now that we don't have practice twice a week and a weekend game. Cody and Robert have been playing a lot more in the backyard that's for sure.

I know that Jake is going to miss messing around at the ballpark, he did plenty of it that's for sure.....

He did not like to hang with boring mom at the practices or games. He wanted to be with the big boys and dad. Robert did a lot of coaching out on the field holding Jake and explaining the game to him, wish i would have got a picture of that.

The boys were so excited when Coach Davis declared the Yankees the Champions and handed out their trophy's. The smiles on their faces was thanks enough!

Camp Life and Water Balloon practice

We had a big week last week at our house. Cody went to Camp Life (Vacation Bible School) every evening during the week. He had so much fun and was always so excited to go every night. All the kids even preformed some songs that they learned at church today. Cody was in the front row and he was just dancing and not doing the hand motions that they taught them to go with the song. We asked him why he didn't do the hand motions and he said "My hands malfunctioned. I couldn't get them to work." I think he was a little nervous and didn't really know what to do. It was cute though to watch all the kids show what they learned all week. Here is a picture of him with his group, the Kindergartners.

On Friday we had our last T-Ball practice for this season. We thought we would "cool" things off a bit and let the boys have some fun at their last practice. We filled about 50 water balloons up for them to hit off the tee and throw to each other. They had fun and were more focused then ever when trying to hit the water balloon.

This next picture is right after Robert and the other coaches grabbed the last few water balloons and told the boys to "RUN." They ran like crazy, it was fun to watch.

Our last game is tomorrow night. We will be sad to see the season end. The boys have been so fun to get to know and work with. I know Robert has had a fun time coaching them and he did a great job trying to keep the attention of those wild and crazy boys.

T-Ball and Thomas

We have had another fun weekend this weekend. It started off with Cody's "under the lights" T-Ball game on Friday night. It was quite the game. The boys ended up playing for about a hour and a half, most games are just a hour. I think they were having so much fun under the lights and up past their bedtime that the dad's just kept letting them play. It was fun to watch and i know Cody has a blast. He played pitcher and catcher and did a great job in both positions.

On Saturday we went to see Thomas the Train and take a little ride on him. Jake was super excited and just kept saying "Choo Choo" over and over. I was so proud of him for standing in front of Thomas for this picture, if you know Jake you know how impossible it is to get him to stand still.

We really enjoyed the train ride. We rode in one of the cars that was not enclosed so that was fun. Jake really liked the ride and every time the train blew it's whistle he would look at me and squeal, it was pretty funny.

This was inside a firetruck they had on display by the train, Jake did not want to get out of it.

Night at the T-Bones

We had a fun Sunday evening at the T-Bones game in Kansas City yesterday. It was the Gardner Parks and Rec night at the field. Cody and all the other kids in T-ball and baseball got to walk around on the field before the game started. There were only 2 kids from our team that came but they had a great time walking the field with Coach.

Robert was telling the crowd all about our undefeated season....

There were lots of mascots there and Cody got his picture taken with every one of them. Jake on the other hand was very very afraid of them, especially the Jayhawk. He liked them from afar but shrieked in horror if they came close. At first Cody didn't want to get his picture with any of them but i kept telling him to show me that he was ready to go to Disney World by not being afraid of the mascots and he took me up on it!

Memorial Weekend 2010

We had a wonderful Memorial weekend. We are really sad that it is already over and that Robert has to go back to work tomorrow. We tried to pack as much fun as humanly possible into the weekend, and i think we did! We took a lot of pictures this weekend so hopefully you enjoy the play by play of our weekend, it was a great one.

On Friday night we headed to the Hot Air Balloon Invitational that our city was hosting this year. It was really neat to see all the hot air balloons so up close. Jake was in balloon heaven, he loved it and waved to every one of them as they took off into the air.

On Saturday night we went to see the balloons again but we got a little closer this time. We camped out for a bit right in front of where they were blowing them up. It was neat, they are so big.

Jake was in awe, and again waved at each of them as they took off.

The Wonder Bread Balloon

Every morning they had a early morning flight and we were awakened to Cody throwing open our bedroom door and yelling "The balloons are right outside, come see, come see!!"

We got a new pool for the boys and maybe us too;) We can't keep Cody out of it, he loves it and asked me today if he could sleep in it....i said no. I think it's a bit intimidating to Jake so he doesn't get in unless we are with him which is just fine by me.

He's got it rough doesn't he!

Ahh, that feels good on a hot afternoon.

We also did a fair amount of just relaxing in our new Adirondack chairs, we got wood ones and the boys got cute plastic ones.

We grilled all weekend, no ovens allowed! I love the warm weather and grilling as much as possible. We even made pizza on the grill, if you have never tried it you should, they were yummy!!

And of course we roasted marshmallows and made smores, we love our smores!!

Jake even roasted his first marshmallow, well more like charred it, he's such a goofball.

It was a perfect weekend, they only thing that would make it better is one more day!!

Grandma and Papa Davis Visit

We had a couple of very special visitors this last weekend. Grandma and Papa Davis came from Utah for a visit. We love having them come and see us here in Kansas. We did a lot of really fun things while they were here. Hopefully they had as good of a time as we did. It was great that Jake is finally past the stage of being afraid of them and he had a great time with them and even learned to say Grandma and Papa while they were here. And Cody as usual wanted them to stay forever and was very sad to see them go.

Once it stopped raining we spent some time outside roasting marshmallows, eating ice cream, jumping on the tramp and just enjoying the weather.

We went into the City to the new dinosaur exhibit at Union Station. It was pretty neat and i know the boys enjoyed it. Jake was not afraid of the giant Dino's but he is afraid of the Easter Bunny, not too sure about that silly boy?!

On Sunday we went to the Royals game. They played the Rockies and unfortunately lost but it was still fun. Royals games are always a good time. We even ate a baseball helmet full of ice cream, what's not fun about that?!

Just had to post this cute picture of Cody with both teeth missing. He lost the other one last week. He looks pretty cute with that big hole in his smile. He keeps looking at me and smiling and then saying "I know you can't resist smiling at me, huh mom." And he is very right!

Cody's First Tooth

Cody lost his first tooth yesterday. He was beyond excited. He has been talking about wanting to loose his teeth for a long time and he was so excited that it was finally happening. He noticed that the two front bottom ones were wiggly the day before and then the next day one was out! We are still anxiously waiting for the the other one to fall out, it is pretty close so it should happen any day...

My friend makes tooth fairy pillows so we went and picked one out yesterday and he was so excited to get his tooth in the little pocket and get to sleep.

The Tooth Fairy did come last night and left him a $1 bill in place of the tooth in the pillow. He was up at 6:30 showing Robert before he left for work, if that tells you about his excitement level. He is such a sweet little boy and i tear up thinking about how big he is getting. While we were talking yesterday about how big he is getting he assured me that when he moves out and goes to College he will come home to visit and i can make him cookies. I told him that sounds like a deal, sniff, sniff.

Jake's Birthday Fun...

We had a fun day today celebrating Jake's 2nd birthday. We took the boys to Zonkers, it's a little arcade/kiddie ride place. The boys had a great time. Jake had a lot of fun and even went on his first ride ever.

He loved his Elmo party, this balloon was his favorite. He is by far Elmo's biggest fan.

Our wild and crazy little Jakey turns two years old today. I can't believe it has been two years already. He is such a fun little guy and we are so glad that he joined our family. He is in fact Wild and Crazy but he can also be the sweetest little guy ever. I love his kisses and his determination. He is the reason why we have child locks on almost everything in this house, and most of the time that doesn't even stop him. He keeps us on our toes that's for sure but we wouldn't trade him for anything. He is super silly and just like his brother will do just about anything for a laugh. His laugh is contagious and his smile will make you melt. He still isn't talking much but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a voice in this house. He will tell you in his own way when he want's something. We love him so much and can't wait to see what his coming years bring. We will be celebrating his birthday this weekend so I'm sure there will be another post to follow with lots of fun birthday pictures.

Yankees T-Ball First Practice

Friday was the first T-Ball practice for the 2010 Yankees team here in little 'ole Gardner. I somehow convinced Robert to be the coach for Cody's team this year. We have been so excited for the season to start and we had a great first practice. There are 12 kids on the team and 4 of them live right here on our street, and are Cody's best buds. I had so much fun watching the boys practice and watching Robert try to keep there attention for a hour. The boys were a lot more skilled than we had thought they would be and all did really well at throwing, hitting and running. I think Robert's big goal for the season will be to try to give them some understanding of what playing a real game is all about. Mostly we just want the boys to have fun and be excited to come to practice every week. I know Cody is loving it, he woke up on Saturday morning asking if we could go to practice again.

I was right behind the fence with the lens of my new camera through one of the holes in the fence. Robert thought it would be funny to tell the boys to try and hit me.....well Kollin was all about that and just about did. Made for a cool picture though...

This is the next shot i took but i backed up, i was a little nervous, i didn't want my lens to get hit with a ball. Cody actually threw it over the fence in his quest to "hit" me, what a stinker. Those boys have good arms....

The new trampoline

We finally got to put the trampoline up last weekend. We bought it last fall and Cody has been anxiously waiting until the weather got better for Robert to get it put up. We have all been having so much fun on it. Cody calls it "the club" and likes to invites us all into "the club." Jake wasn't too sure about it at first but he got use to it quick and now loves to jump with Cody everyday.

Belle misses us when we are all on the tramp so sometimes she joins us.

Yeah I've still got it. I am however still a bit afraid to try all my old tricks from back in the day.
